Fumetto sul Team di Blackjack del MIT
I fumetti sono generalmente ispirati all’eterna lotta tra il bene e il male, ma a volte può essere un tema insolito a colpire la fantasia dell’autore. Mark Bagley e Brian Bendis hanno presentato un nuovo progetto alla fiera del fumetto C2E2 di Chicago. Un nuovo albo, dal titolo “Brilliant”, vedrà la luce a luglio 2011, pubblicato dall’icona mondiale del fumetto, la Marvel. L’ispirazione nacque nel periodo in cui Brian Bendis stava scrivendo l’episodio pilota dello show televisivo HBO, basato sulla storia della ricerca di potere e ricchezza da parte del celeberrimo team di blackjack del MIT. Il fumetto illustrerà come un gruppo di universitari secchioni, con occhiali spessi 10 centimetri, pieni di acne e con scarsa igiene, riusciranno a scoprire dei superpoteri nel corso di un maldestro incidente di laboratorio. La storia si snoda sulle infinite possibilità degli effetti dei superpoteri sul mondo intero, e sulle vite dei protagonisti. In tutta la storia del blackjack, il più leggendario gruppo di giocatori che hanno elaborato una brillante strategia per contare le carte al Blackjack è stato quello del MIT. Il team che utilizza sia il conteggio delle carte che i trucchi del blackjack, per sbancare i casinò di tutto il mondo arrivando quasi a cento milioni di dollari. Il gruppo, composto dalle più brillanti menti del Massachusetts Institute of Technology e dell’Università di Harvard, che ha messo a punto una strategia incredibile per battere al blackjack qualunque casinò. Il team si serviva simultaneamente di 8 membri nel casinò, come una squadra, dove alcuni individui utilizzavano complesse varianti di conteggio delle carte per ottenere il massimo vantaggio sul casinò. Altri membri si sedevano ai tavoli dove veniva indicato il vantaggio per il giocatore. Per battere i casinò hanno utilizzato il conteggio delle carte e altre raffinate tecniche.
